Zach McCullough is a native of South Texas where he attended high school in Riviera, TX. He was a member of the All-State band all 4 years of high school as well as a consistent participant at the state solo-ensemble competition where he received a superior rating. Currently he is making progress towards a Bachelor of Music with Teacher Certification at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. While at TAMUK Mr. McCullough was the drum major for the Javelina Marching Band. He is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity.
Zach’s drum corps experience began with Revolution Drum and Bugle (2007, 2010, 2011), and continued with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2012, 2013). He is currently in charge of the visual program at Academy High School in Kingsville, TX where he is in charge of the marching band and winter guard. His bands have consistently received superior ratings at UIL competitions. Along with his teaching responsibilities Zach also writes drill for several high schools, as well as the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Javelina Marching Band, “The Pride of South Texas.”
